Sadowski Auto Care in North Arlington, New Jersey, will hold a fundraiser for breast cancer vaccine research over the next month as part of its “Brakes for Breasts” campaign, the Observer reported.

The shop is part of the annual “Brakes for Breasts” initiative, which helps hundreds of independents raise funds for the Cleveland Clinic, which is developing a vaccine proven to be effective in preventing breast cancer in laboratory animals. It is one of the repair companies.

Funds raised will support ongoing research at the Dr. Tuohy Lab, a team of researchers at the Cleveland Clinic.

Phase 1a trials for this potential vaccine were successfully completed in April 2023, with phases 1b and 1c currently being conducted, and phase 2 trials tentatively set to begin near the end of next year. It is planned.

To support this effort, Sadowski Auto Care and all other participating repair shops will be distributing free brake pads and shoes, and customers will only pay for the labor and other parts needed.

The shop then donates 10% of the brake job directly to the Cleveland Clinic Breast Cancer Vaccine Research Fund.
