HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A new seafood spot in Midtown has been ordered to close after failing an inspection Monday morning, according to the Houston Health Department.
The video above is from ABC13’s 24/7 livestream.
The restaurant has failed a change-of-ownership inspection and will not be allowed to open until it passes, according to the health department.
The restaurant was shut down by the health department last week for operating without a permit. Officials said inspectors observed serious violations that could cause food poisoning, including “raw oysters being stored in dirty mop sinks with stagnant water.”

Despite the closure, ABC13 viewers reported that the restaurant is still open and serving food on weekends.
The department doesn’t know if restaurants are open, but told ABC13 they could be fined up to $2,000 per day per violation if they reopen before passing inspection.
