GRAND FORKS – The Grand Forks Public Health Department will hold walk-in flu and COVID-19 vaccination clinics on Wednesdays through October.
Clinics will be held from noon to 4 p.m. on Oct. 16, 23, and 30 at GFPH’s offices in the Grand Forks County Courthouse (151 S. Fourth St.). No appointment is necessary, but GFPH asks patients to bring their insurance card. they have insurance.
Influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations can help prevent more serious infections and complications, Ashley Krone, GFPH disease prevention team leader, said in a release.
“Fall and winter can be busy times for all of us with school, work, and vacation,” Krone said in the release. “By preventing serious illness, vaccines can also help prevent us from missing out on work, school, and important family time.”
GFPH accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicare Part B, North Dakota Medicaid, and Sanford. Uninsured or underinsured adults can receive the vaccine for free in limited doses through the Adult Vaccine Program. People under the age of 18 are eligible to receive free vaccinations through the Children’s Vaccines Program if they are uninsured or underinsured, American Indian or Alaska Native, or eligible for Medicaid. there is.
