Here’s how to get free flu and coronavirus vaccines in Chicago this fall

CHICAGO — The city is hosting vaccination clinics for people who want to get free COVID-19 and flu shots this season.

Chicago residents six months of age and older can get vaccinated for free at city ward offices until at least late November. The vaccine does not require insurance and there are no associated co-pays, according to the Chicago Department of Public Health website.

Most seniors are working with health departments to host vaccination clinics, which last three to four hours.

Pre-registration for the vaccine through the city’s website is encouraged, but clinics will also allow walk-ins, a Department of Health spokesperson said.

An up-to-date calendar with clinic locations and opening hours for each district can be found on the Health Department website. The events scheduled so far are:
