On Friday, the White House shared its debut post on the platform, which many see as a left-wing alternative to right-wing billionaire Elon Musk’s “X.”
“What’s up, Blue Sky?” the White House said in a message accompanying the video. “We thought you might have missed some of our greatest hits so we put this together for you. We can’t wait to spend more quality time together!”
The post was clearly an attempt to sway the platform’s largely left-wing user base, as it included a video montage of some of the most memorable acts of trolling since Trump’s second term in office. These include the renaming of the Gulf of Mexico and the sharing of an AI image depicting Pope Francis as Pope after his death.

While a small number of users welcomed Trump’s participation in the White House, far more were critical, sharing memes mocking the president and the MAGA alliance, and some calling for the release of files on sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
That same day, several departments also opened accounts, including the State Department, which began with a thread blaming Democrats for the current government shutdown, adding, “I also heard this is a great place to investigate visa revocations.”
The comments came after the ministry canceled a number of visas for far-right commentator Charlie Kirk over his posts about the assassination.
