Mohonasen is launching a new fitness court in the capital region.
Mononassen School District’s new fitness courts offer free outdoor training.
The district partnered with MVP Health Care and the National Fitness Campaign to create an outdoor facility for the school community.
District officials say the courthouse is the first of its kind in the region and will provide free and equitable access to outdoor exercise. The court features seven training stations designed to allow users to use their own body weight for a full-body workout.
School Athletic Director Matthew Ronca demonstrated the station at the Oct. 3 ribbon cutting.
“The courts are designed for individuals 14 years and older with all abilities and fitness levels in mind, and the workouts are adaptable and participants are encouraged to create their own “You can exercise at your own pace.”
