More than 230 doctors, nurses and other medical professionals are calling on former President Trump to release his medical records after Vice President Kamala Harris released them.
In an open letter dated Oct. 13, first reported by CBS News, health care workers expressed concern about Trump’s advanced age, saying the 78-year-old Republican candidate has not been transparent about his health and medical history. They argue that it should be done.
“On August 20, Donald Trump said he was ‘willing’ to release his medical records. Now, 55 days later, he still has not,” the letter reads. “Due to the recent lack of health disclosures from Donald Trump, we can only make inferences based on public appearances. And in that regard, Trump falls alarmingly short of even the standards of eligibility for public office. It shows alarming features of decreased visual acuity.
The majority of signatories support Harris as a presidential candidate. The letter claims that Trump appears to be “rambling, meandering, and airing a number of crude complaints” during the campaign, and questions whether this behavior is the result of age-related cognitive changes. is doubtful.

The letter comes after the White House released a “health care statement” on Saturday declaring that Harris is in “excellent health” and urging President Trump to release information about her health. It arrived while I was asking for it.

A statement from Harris’ doctor also revealed that Harris last had an annual physical in April of this year. Trump made his health records public during the 2016 campaign, a trend that continued after he took control of the White House. In August, with the 2024 election just around the corner, President Trump told CBS News that he would release his latest medical records to the public. But with nearly three weeks left until Election Day, no action has been taken yet.
“He’s not going to release his medical records,” Harris said Monday morning in an interview with podcast host Roland Martin. She also criticized President Trump for refusing to hold a second debate, especially since it is tradition for both presidential candidates to sit down with the president. Trump himself responded to Harris’ medical statement on social media, calling it “absolutely awful.”
