Feed.fm has released a report highlighting the important role music plays in increasing user engagement within fitness and wellness applications. The 2024 App Engagement Study reveals compelling data showing that a significant majority of fitness app users view music as an important factor in staying motivated during their workouts. Ta. Specifically, 94% of respondents considered music essential to their workout motivation, and 72% reported that it boosted their energy levels while using the app.

Feed.fm’s research also highlighted a preference for a mix of familiar and new music, with 83% of users expressing that they want to keep both routines lively and focused. Additionally, 73% of participants said music had a positive impact on their emotional well-being, reinforcing the idea that a good soundtrack can improve the overall workout experience .

This insight suggests that integrating music not only lengthens workout sessions, but also improves retention rates. Feed.fm’s Unified Music System makes it easy for app developers to offer licensed music, alleviating concerns about royalty management.
