A further setback has been reported for Callum Wilson.

Exclusive email.

They report that Newcastle United’s number nine is feeling muscle tightness.

The email stated that the information was not serious.

But that would almost certainly mean Callum Wilson will not be risked for any of the next three games (two against Chelsea and one against Arsenal).

If that happens, our next target will be against Forest on Sunday 10th November. However, after the game against Forest, United have a 15-day international break before playing West Ham at home on Monday 25 November.

As Eddie Howe has emphasized, he and his backroom staff are desperate to create a situation that gives Callum Wilson the best chance of staying fit when he eventually returns to action. .

Newcastle United’s upcoming fixtures to be confirmed by the end of January 2025:

Sunday 27 October – Chelsea vs Newcastle (2pm) Sky Sports

Wednesday 30th October – Newcastle vs Chelsea (7.45pm) Sky Sports+

Saturday 2nd November – Newcastle vs Arsenal (12:30pm) TNT Sports

Sunday 10th November – Forest v Newcastle (2pm) Sky Sports

Monday 25th November – Newcastle vs West Ham (8pm) Sky Sports

Saturday 30th November – Crystal Palace vs Newcastle

Wednesday 4th December – Newcastle vs Liverpool (7.30pm)

Saturday 7th December – Brentford v Newcastle (3pm)

Saturday 14th December – Newcastle vs Leicester (3pm)

Saturday 21st December – Ipswich vs Newcastle (3pm)

Thursday 26th December – Newcastle vs Villa (3pm) Amazon

Monday 30th December – Man Utd v Newcastle (8pm) Sky Sports
