Norwegian government allocates NOK 70 million (US$6.6 million) from the national budget to quantum research

Norway’s Digitalization and Public Governance Minister Karianne Thun, Defense Minister Björn Arild Gramm and Research and Higher Education Minister Odmund Hoer agree to allocate NOK 70 million annually to quantum technology research as part of the national budget. did. They started this effort at the Oslomet Quantum Hub. Mr. Hoel emphasized the urgency of advanced data processing, and Mr. Tung highlighted the potential of quantum technologies in addressing societal challenges such as climate change and healthcare.
