The tech industry is used to corporate jargon and word salad.
Comedian John Mulaney criticized the industry, among other things, during his set on the final night of Salesforce’s annual Dreamforce conference in San Francisco earlier this month.
“Some of the most ambiguous words ever devised have been used here in the last three days,” he said. “The fact that there are 45,000 ‘pioneers’ here cannot further devalue that title.”
Fortunately, some industry terms are easier, especially the terms by which companies refer to their employees.
