Prime Day in October is the perfect time to fill that empty space in your home gym or buy a few cool things for your gym bag. Here are some of October’s Prime Day deals on fitness equipment, including great deals on adjustable dumbbells, treadmills, and more. Plus: They also have really cool gym bags!
Great deals on Power Block adjustable dumbbells on Prime Day in October
Although the Power Block is expensive, it’s a beloved dumbbell for those who need a small gym but don’t have much space. And here’s the good news. At least seven models will be on sale at deep discounts during Prime Day in October.
PowerBlock Elite EXP sets range from £5 to £50 (“Stage 1”) and normally cost $449 per pair, but are currently reduced to $299.99. (Expansion kits are also available today.)
The smaller Sport 24 set, which ranges from 3 to 24 pounds, is also on sale, reduced from $239 to $159.99.
Even the Power Block 100 (yes, up to 100 pounds), which normally costs $549 a single, has been reduced to $439 a pop.
Best Prime Day deals on heart rate monitors
Even if you have a smartwatch, the most accurate way to track your heart rate is to use a chest strap to measure your heart’s electrical activity. (The watch uses a green light to detect your pulse, which works fine most of the time, but is error-prone, especially if you’re moving around.) The Polar H10 is a great chest strap, currently priced from $99.95 to $76.46. And for a budget option, this Coospo monitor (the same one I have) is currently only $23.
If you don’t like the chest strap format, Polar’s Verity Sense is an armband heart rate monitor that you can wear on your temple while swimming or even clip onto your goggles. This is the same optical sensor as a watch, but armbands tend to read heart rate more accurately than watches. Today it’s $84.96, normally $99.95.
Great deals on rowing machines during Prime Day in October
Unfortunately, the Concept2 (widely acclaimed as the best rowing machine) is no longer for sale. But Merach Q1SW does. This is an affordable rower that our own Daniel Oropeza rates as pretty solid for casual exercisers, but if you’re very tall or serious about rowing It’s not the best choice if you’re working on . Normally $329.99, get it today for $259.99.
Also available is the YOSUDA water rower, which has a steampunk-style wood surface and real water resistance. Normally $499.99, today it’s $269.99 with the $100 coupon on the page.
Great deals on gym bags and water bottle holders on Prime Day in October
Everyone needs a good gym bag. My all-time favorite, the Adidas Defender Small, is not on sale today, but its big sister, the Adidas Defender Medium, is only $26.51 (regularly $45).
This year, in addition to duffels, we are also focusing on water bottle holders. These are basically mini gym bags so you can carry your water bottle, phone, and other small items to the gym floor. Some are magnetic so you can stick them to your squat rack or exercise machine during your workout.
Great October Prime Day treadmill deals
Today’s October Prime Day treadmill offerings include several entry-level recommended NordicTrack T-series machines. (Unfortunately, the commercial series is no longer on sale.) There are some walking pad deals, but Amazon’s search results are full of unknown brands with fake deals (hint: list price $1,999.99 A $169 price drop is pretty cheap (in most cases, it’s an item that was always $169).
Listed below are all active products with verified price history.
Great deals on Peloton bikes and gear on Prime Day in October
We included the Peloton Tread in the list of treadmills above, but don’t miss out on other Peloton gear on sale, including the iconic Bike, Bike+, and square dumbbells. The Bike is priced at an affordable $1,228.24, and the Bike+ is priced at $1,999.99, a rarity under $2,000.
When it comes to Peloton dumbbell features, don’t think that you need to get these specific dumbbells to do Peloton strength training because all the old dumbbells do the same job (heavier). However, if you already own a few pairs of the square variety, now is a good time to buy more to complete your set. (Shoes, water bottles, and mats are also on sale at the same time. Check out Amazon’s sale page for that gear here.)
Great deals on cool-looking adjustable dumbbells during Prime Day in October
As I was combing through the product list looking for the dumbbells that looked the most heavily discounted or the most useful, some of these fancier dumbbells kept catching my eye. Most dumbbells are lighter than the dumbbells listed above and have only a few adjustment options, making them less convenient for many people.
That being said, while most strength training requires the use of heavy weights (whatever “heavy” means), there are also many uses for lighter dumbbells. These lightweight ones are perfect for beginners. As long as you’re excited about your new workout routine, why not buy a cool-looking pair?
Below is an adjustable dumbbell set that looks stylish, adjusts to multiple weights, and happens to be on discount today. These are all sold in pairs, but sometimes the weight is listed as the total weight of the set (i.e. “40 lbs” might mean two 20 lb dumbbells).
