Pokémon GO’s Halloween 2024 Part 1 Everything you need to know about the event
The 2024 Halloween event will run until Sunday, November 3 at 8pm local time in Pokémon GO, and as always, the event will be split into two parts, each with its own features and bonuses. are available.
Part 1 will run until Monday, October 28th at 10am (local time). After this time, Halloween Part 2 will begin.
The release of Gigantamax Pokemon comes in the midst of the Halloween event, namely the Go Bigger event, which will be held from Saturday, October 26th at 10am (local time) to Sunday, October 27th at 8pm (local time). There are four bonuses running in Halloween Part 1. Two are focused on Shiny Pokémon, and two are focused on Candy.
First, there is a Double Catch Candy Bonus running throughout this half of the event. Additionally, players level 31 and above can earn Candy XL when they catch Pokémon using Nice Throw or better.
As for shiny bonuses, shiny Umbreons have increased shiny rate when caught from raids, and shiny Zorua can be encountered more often in the wild.
But the main highlight of Halloween 2024 Part 1 is the release of Morpeko from the 8th generation. Morpeko also brings a new combat mechanic to Pokémon Go: form change. This will cause your Pokemon’s appearance to change when you use a charge attack during battle. For Morpeko, using a charge attack changes her from happy full mode to emotional hungry mode (and vice versa). This act changes Morpeko’s aura wheel type from electric to dark (and back again). Halloween 2024 Part 1 also celebrates the release of a new Dynamax Pokémon – Gastly. Since it appears in 1-star Max Battles, it should be easy to solo, and it is also possible to evolve it into Dynamax Haunter or Gengar. First, a number of new items are coming to the Avatar Store, including a Halloween decoration set, Woobat’s top hat, and two Morpeco onesies for Full Belly Mode and Hungry Mode. There’s also a new collection of stickers that you can purchase and earn by opening gifts and spinning Pokestops.

Next, there are two paid research quests. As always, these purchases are non-refundable and PokeCoins cannot be used. These quests can also be gifted to players who are Great Friend or above. Both quests expire on Sunday, November 3rd at 8pm local time, so whether you buy one or both, make sure to complete them by this date. Otherwise you will be wasting your money. You must decide whether to purchase this quest by Saturday, November 2nd at 8:00 PM (local time).
The first quest costs $2 or equivalent in local currency. Progressing through it will give you a chance to catch the following costumed Pokemon, including the new Halloween costumes Floakie and Rowlet Pokemon. However, both of these Pokemon can be obtained for free during Halloween Part 2.

The second quest costs $5 or equivalent in local currency. Similar to the first quest, you will be offered the chance to catch a selection of costumed Pokémon. Additionally, you’ll get Spiritomb and Morpeko encounters, as well as a Triple Catch Candy Bonus and a selection of one Morpeko Onesie.

halloween part 2
Halloween Part 2 begins on Monday, October 28th at 10am (local time) and ends on Sunday, November 3rd at 8pm (local time).
There are three bonuses that will be active during this period, the first being that you will get double the candy when you catch Pokemon, just like in Part 1. The chances of encountering a glowing Zorua in the wild also continue to increase.
The following bonuses are exclusive to Thursday, October 31st and are valid only on this day. On this day, if you catch a Pokemon wearing a costume, you’ll have a chance to drop a Rare Candy or Rare Candy XL.
Additionally, throughout Part 2, trainers at level 31 and above will have an increased chance of earning Candy XL when they catch a Pokémon with Nice Throw or better.
The highlight of the second part is the appearance of Kyodai Max Gengar. They will appear in 6-star Max Battles from Thursday, October 31st until the end of Part 2 on Sunday, November 3rd. You might even run into an off-color Pokémon, a ghostly Pokémon appropriate for spooky times!
