More than 900 students at Pace’s New York City and Pleasantville campuses connect with top employers

Pace University Career Services held one of its signature events, the Fall 2024 Jobs & Internships Career Fair, on Wednesday. With a record number of student participants, it was the largest job fair in the university’s history.

The job fair, which featured more than 110 companies including Altice USA, Deloitte, EY, FBI, KPMG, Northwell Health, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Montefiore Medical, included representatives from Pace’s campus in lower Manhattan; More than 900,000 students attended, including many students. Center, Regeneron, Sherwin-Williams, Westchester Magazine, and more. The event featured a KPMG-sponsored coffee truck, a pizza truck, free smoothies from the university’s student-run businesses, music, and other amenities including a quiet room.

The fair was open to students of all majors and was sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), one of the world’s “big four” accounting firms, offering a wide range of professional business services from auditing to strategic consulting. .

“At Pace University, we prioritize early student engagement and meaningful employer partnerships to create impactful opportunities that lead to post-graduation internship and employment success.” Pace University Careers said Phyllis Mooney, assistant vice chancellor for services and employer relations.

Pace’s Career Services is a regional leader in providing a variety of career counseling and programs to ensure students are career ready and have the skills that employers are looking for in candidates. In fact, a review of the Class of 2023’s First Destination Survey found that 94% of Pace bachelor’s degree graduates are employed or continuing their education six months after graduation.

Jacob Selman ’24 majored in digital marketing with an emphasis in arts and entertainment management and immediately accepted a new position as a strategic planning fellow at Havas Health & Youth after graduation. Jacob first learned about the fellowship through a career counselor. This fellowship is designed to provide new employees with exposure to different aspects of health and wellness advertising. I then networked with Havas Health & Youth representatives at career fairs, which helped me secure a position.

“With the help of Career Services, I was able to gain deeper insight into the company and better align myself as a candidate for this role, which ultimately led to an offer.” says Selman.

“I want to connect with as many employers as possible to explore new opportunities that align with my goal of becoming a nurse,” said one Lower Manhattan Campus student who attended the job fair. said Skakarisha Elome, a nursing major. “As graduation approaches, I’m really looking forward to thinking about possible career paths.”

Natasha Fallen ’22, an experienced audit associate at PwC, attended as an employer to network with students. “It’s great to be able to return to Pace in this capacity to help students explore their career opportunities,” Fallen said. “Thanks to the career fair, I was able to secure an internship with PwC, which led to a full-time position, for which I am extremely grateful.”
