Samsung shares future business and research plans for AI in the US

Seoul, October 6 (SocialNews.XYZ) Samsung Electronics on Sunday hosted a technology forum in Silicon Valley in the United States, bringing together experts in artificial intelligence (AI) technology to discuss the company’s main businesses and research in the field. announced that they had shared the development.

At the 2024 Tech Forum, hosted by Samsung Research America in Silicon Valley, senior executives from Samsung’s various businesses and divisions provided insight into their work and research related to AI, the company said.

Han Jeong-hee, vice chairman and CEO of Samsung Electronics, attended the event. According to a report by Yonhap News, Samsung Research’s Global AI Center Director and Vice President Kim Dae-hyun gave a lecture on Samsung Electronics’ unique customer experience through the use of AI.

The South Korean technology giant said it plans to continue building a platform for networking among industry professionals to foster connections and cooperation between seasoned professionals in the industry.

Meanwhile, the company has begun volume production of its latest, industry-leading solid state drive (SSD) products, ideal for use in powerful artificial intelligence personal computers. PM9E1 SSD offers strong performance and enhanced power efficiency, making it the perfect solution for on-device AI PCs. All key characteristics have been improved compared to the previous model.

Starting with the PM9E1, Samsung plans to expand its advanced SSD products to global PC manufacturers and plans to launch consumer products based on this product in the future to establish market leadership. It is scheduled to be released.

In August, the chipmaker began mass production of LPDDR5X DRAM, the industry’s thinnest mobile DRAM tailored for on-device artificial intelligence. The new 12 nanometer (nm) class 12 gigabyte (GB) and 16GB LPDDR5X DRAM packages are just 0.65 mm tall, making them the thinnest LPDDR DRAM in the industry.
