FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — A women-only fitness studio is taking the worry out of going to the gym at any time of the day.
Our Small Business Spotlight showcases the vibrant energy you can find at Doyenne Barbell Studios.
From open gyms to glute camp classes, Doyenne Barbell and Fitness offers women at every stage of their fitness journey the opportunity to succeed.
“Doienne is actually, by definition, a French word that means the most respected woman,” said Taylor Branham, co-owner of the studio.
So doyenne’s whole mission is to create a community where we not only respect ourselves and our health, but we respect each other and women feel represented.”
Branham knows the pressure that comes with being a beginner.
“I lost 120 pounds and then became a personal trainer,” Branum said.
She harnesses the energy she used to achieve her goals to help her clients feel infinitely empowered.
“We can never turn the disease onto you, we can never turn the disease onto you, that’s what a great community we are,” Branham said.
Doyenne founder Yvette Villa launched Gym as an activewear line in 2020.
Once they opened their first location, the studio’s mission of female empowerment quickly gained momentum.
“Eventually, it grew into something special through word of mouth, and within a year, we were looking for a bigger location,” Villa says.
On Aug. 24, the studio opened its sister facility and square footage expansion at the shopping center at Fig Garden Drive and Bullard.
“The gym is available 24 hours a day, or you can book a class and train with one of our coaches in our expanded room,” Villa said.
Coach Stephanie designed a special full body class for this shoot.
Classes range from cardio and kickboxing to bands and barbells.
In addition to a hormone health coach, Doyenne has a variety of ways to help you succeed, including personal training, unlimited body scans, meal plans, and an app with workout programs.
“We get to know you, we understand you, and we have something for you. Our doors are always open, and the first class anyone wants to try is free.”
