During the event, students will learn about robotic surgery and technology used in hospital environments, have the opportunity to participate in an interactive demonstration of Intuitive’s mobile da Vinci V robotic system, and learn how robotic surgical systems work. While you can test the robotic surgery system yourself. Help the patient heal. Additionally, they witnessed procedures in the facility’s cardiac catheterization lab, interacted with South Texas Health System’s healthcare technology management team, learned about the approximately 18,000 medical devices they manage, and I had the opportunity to learn how clot-busting therapy is used for patients. Visit patients and see the advanced equipment used to help patients regain independence in the hospital’s inpatient rehabilitation gym. Additionally, I had the opportunity to learn about careers in the medical industry.
