MARLBOROUGH – A special permit presented to City Council on Monday, Sept. 9, will allow a portion of a commercial building at 397 Williams St. to be converted into a fitness and nutrition center.
If approved, BMB Health & Nutrition LLC plans to build a center on the first floor with a gym, cafeteria-style food service, locker rooms and ancillary wellness facilities, including massage, sauna and personal training.

The facility is expected to accommodate about 65 vehicles, with up to 200 at peak times, according to the application.
The application has been submitted to city council’s urban affairs committee with a public hearing scheduled for Monday, October 7.
