A recent viral video has taken the internet by storm, revealing the amazing profits of a street vendor in Mumbai selling vada pav. An Instagram influencer spent a day behind the counter of a bustling Vada Pav cart and documented the experience in a mesmerizing video that garnered nearly 40 million views.

A day in the life of a Vada Pav vendor

In this video, a vlogger named Sarthak Sachdeva immerses himself in the day-to-day operations of a Vada Pav stall, preparing the iconic snack and interacting with his loyal customers. By mid-morning, around 200 vada pavs had already been sold, highlighting the high demand for this beloved street food.

As the days passed, sales continued to increase. By the end of the shift, a total of 622 Vada Pavs were sold, each priced at ₹15. This resulted in a staggering ₹9,300 per day, raising eyebrows about the lucrative potential of street vending.

Monthly income will be disclosed

Taking the analysis further, the influencer calculated the vendor’s income over a month and estimated it at Rs 280,000. After considering various operating expenses, the net monthly income is estimated to be Rs.200,000, which translates into an annualized amount of Rs.2.4 million. These numbers have prompted many to reconsider the stereotypes surrounding street vending in urban India.

The video caused a wave of reaction across social media, with viewers intrigued by the earnings showcased. Many comments reflected disbelief, with one user wondering, “Can you make that much money doing an office job?” Another participant suggested, “Instead of working at a desk, we should all try selling vada pav!”

Some users expressed their admiration for the vendor’s efforts, saying: I respect those who work hard for their income. ” Viewers had the following to say about the vendor’s ability to maintain high sales: Vada pav must be delicious. ” Another comment read: “It makes me think again about street food. It’s more than just a snack!”
