The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) Office of Career Services has announced the UAPB Fall Career Summit to be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. The event will take place from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the H.O. Clemons Arena (HPER), Kenneth L. Johnson Sr. Complex on the UAPB campus. Currently, 123 organizations representing business/industry, government agencies, graduate/professional schools, and school districts from across the United States will participate.
Historically, the UAPB Fall Career Summit has primarily been for students and alumni enrolled at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. In a new highlight, this season’s summit has expanded to include students enrolled at Philander Smith University and Arkansas Baptist College in Little Rock, Arkansas, and the University of Arkansas at Monticello in Monticello, Arkansas. This expansion is a testament to our commitment to inclusivity and community growth.
“Our Career Summit is the largest event of its kind, with numerous employers in attendance seeking qualified candidates for summer internships, cooperative education and full-time employment,” said Shirley Cherry, director of UAPB’s Career Services Office. “We want to make this amazing opportunity available to as many people as possible, and we’re pleased that students from three other institutions of higher education are able to bring their students along to take advantage of the opportunity. For employers, the variety of students they can network with gives them another good reason to attend the event and an added perk.”
Students and alumni are encouraged to participate. Registered organizations include:
