Activists say the demonstration lasted more than an hour (People & Planet)
A group of about 50 activists tried to block entry to the university’s job fair.
The organization People & Planet was targeting an event at the Octagon venue at the University of Sheffield.
The group said the protests were aimed at raising awareness about companies involved in the arms trade, fossil fuels and mining companies.
The University of Sheffield has been contacted for comment.
According to demonstrators, student activists marched holding banners and then sat in front of the entrance to the building.
They said the demonstration was part of a Fossil Free Career campaign by themselves and a pro-Palestinian camp on university grounds.
