We are inviting submissions to BioSymposium. Deadline October 16th
UNM Museum of Art (UNMAM) will host a symposium as part of Research & Discovery Week 2024. The event, held on November 15th, will allow students, faculty and staff to present their research and discoveries in science, technology and art. , and biology.
According to UNMAM, the event will “bring together artists, researchers, and those at the forefront of creative exploration at the University of New Mexico.” They are seeking applications for interdisciplinary presentations and panels on studies and studies that bridge the pursuits of art and science.
They state that these examples include:
Lecture presentations of works of art and artistic processes. (2D works on paper, 3D works, videos, new media, installation works, digital art, internet art, interactive media, etc.) Past or ongoing research at the intersection of art, design, visualization, science, biology, and technology. Scientific discoveries at the intersection of art, design, visualization, science, biology, and technology. Any other topics/projects deemed appropriate by the presenters, depending on the theme of the biosymposium.

UNMAM’s current exhibition ‘Hindsight Insight 5.0’ can be an inspiration as submissions to the BioSymposium are linked by their context and themes. We allow a wider range of topics and themes, including art, science, technology, cyborgs, robotics, and sustainability.
