UPMC hosts career event

UPMC is hosting multiple events this month aimed at helping job seekers find new careers and high school students learning about opportunities in the medical field. These events are held at or near UPMC hospitals in Carlisle, Hanover, Harrisburg, Lititz, Mechanicsburg, and York.

With a variety of event styles and locations, we cater to everyone from experienced professionals considering a career change, to new graduates preparing to start their careers, to high school students seeking more information about the many opportunities available to them in their job search. , potential job seekers can find events that suit their needs. Healthcare field. These events focus on a variety of roles in, but are not limited to, imaging technology, laboratory, nursing, pharmacy, patient care support, and allied health fields.

Find a career fair that suits you

The Find Your Fit Career Fair will be held at each UPMC hospital in central Pennsylvania from noon to 6 p.m., Oct. 9-24. For more information on specific dates and locations, please visit careers.UPMC.com/events.

Participants will have the opportunity to apply on-site, have their resumes reviewed, meet with UPMC human resources and recruiters, and, in some cases, be interviewed on-site. Information will be available about the UPMC Scholars Program, sign-on bonus opportunities, and UPMC’s Total Rewards benefits package designed to support the physical, financial, and mental health of our employees.

This event is open to those pursuing clinical or non-clinical roles at UPMC, including nursing, patient care support, laboratory, imaging technology, pharmacy, office support, safety and security, and many other areas. It is written.

Healthcare Career Night brings together the healthcare sector and local universities to create an opportunity for high school students and their families to not only learn about roles in healthcare, but also discover the training and skills needed to embark on those careers.

Healthcare is one of the fastest growing employment sectors in the United States. Careers range from direct patient care such as nursing and therapy, to behind-the-scenes work in laboratories and pharmacies, to non-clinical positions in support services and professional and administrative fields. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and ask questions of UPMC medical professionals, learn about UPMC career paths and student education benefits, and experience hands-on activities. Talk to us about Tuesday’s walk-in career event

Talk to Us Tuesday walk-in career events will be held in each UPMC hospital lobby on the second Tuesday of October (October 8) and November (November 12) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. . Attendees can explore rewarding careers at UPMC, meet with recruiters and recruitment teams, and receive assistance with resumes, job searches, and applications. Talk to Us Tuesday is open to everyone, from experienced professionals to students. No reservations required.

Registration and details for all events are available at careers.UPMC.com/events. Individuals can register for these events online and choose their location and focus area. Registration is not required, but is highly recommended for those wishing to participate in Find Your Fit and Health Care Career Night, especially those wishing to interview at the event.
