UVM and MVP Healthcare said the decision to reduce service areas was made amid “changing Medicare Advantage plan conditions and economic pressures.” They also cited the “rapid post-pandemic increase” in healthcare utilization and the regulatory changes factored into the move.
Vermont residents currently enrolled in the plan will have the opportunity to transition to an alternative plan once annual enrollment opens on Oct. 15, according to the announcement.
