The Boston College Eagles football team will take the field again on Thursday night for a road game against the Virginia Tech Hokies.
Both teams will be coming off their first bye week of the season, so they will play each other after 12 days of rest.
The Eagles started the season well, with wins over Florida State, Duquesne State, Michigan State and Western Kentucky, while suffering two losses to No. 19 Missouri and Virginia.
Meanwhile, the Hokies had a tough start to the season, losing in the opening game against the Vanderbilt Commodores. Since then, they have posted wins over Marshall, Old Dominion and Stanford, and losses to Rutgers and No. 6 Miami.
This will be the 33rd time the two have faced each other. Virginia Tech leads the series by a record 21-11 and is on a two-game winning streak.
