Venkata Krishna, a 57-year-old vegetarian software consultant, experienced a life-changing moment when a close friend who was a fitness enthusiast suddenly passed away. The death of a loved one was a turning point for Venkata, who had to maintain his health and regain his body. This is an inspiring weight loss story about how you can regain your health at any age while managing your diabetes and balancing your professional life.

History of weight loss and health problems

Venkata’s weight reached a whopping 89kg in 2008, putting her on the path to serious health complications such as sleep apnea. Determined to solve the problem, he trained relentlessly for 15 months and was able to reach his ideal weight of 69 kg. But like many others, Venkata’s weight slowly returned once she stopped her rigorous routine. By 2017, his weight had returned to 78 kg and pre-existing health problems had returned.
However, this time he was diagnosed with diabetes. Medications and a healthy diet made it difficult to manage my blood sugar levels. The situation worsened when his HbA1c level reached 11.8. This indicated that his blood sugar was out of control. Venkata blamed his deteriorating health on not being active enough and not taking his medication.

wake up call

Venkata couldn’t ignore the wake-up call she received when a close friend died about nine months ago. His friend, who seemed healthy, suddenly passed away. This life hardship reinforced the message that health should not be taken for granted. However, Venkata decided to use the tragedy as motivation to take care of his health and take extra steps to recover from the setback.

Seek professional help and change your lifestyle

Initially, Venkata turned to a health coach program that offered tips and strategies to help manage diabetes. With their help, he made significant adjustments to his daily meals and meal timing. The second and most important step was to incorporate regular physical activity. He started walking after every meal and incorporated strength training into his routine. This consistent daily routine helped him achieve his fitness goals.

Changes in eating habits and approaches to food

Diet also had an important influence on his transformation. Venkata changed her eating habits by incorporating more fiber and protein into her diet. One of the most important changes was the introduction of millet, known for its low glycemic index and good nutritional value, into the lunch menu. He also started eating dinner earlier, which significantly helped stabilize his blood sugar levels.
As a result of these modifications, Venkata’s weight and drug levels both decreased. He was able to reduce his diabetes medication dosage from 2000 mg per day to 500 mg per day, with the intention of reducing it further in the near future.

Understanding the body and health

Venkata became increasingly interested in studying the body and how nutrition and exercise affect overall health. He took inspiration from fitness and health experts on YouTube and followed their methods. Watching their content helped me understand the science behind health and motivated me to move in the right direction.

Weight loss tips you want to share

Venkata regained his health in just 10 months. His dedication to exercise, healthier eating, and a systematic approach to diabetes management all paid off. His story goes beyond just losing weight. It’s about regaining health, taking back control, and realizing that every small step matters in the long run.
