SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – Job seekers now have a chance to jumpstart their careers at Western Iowa Tech Community College.
Attendees had the opportunity to explore employment opportunities and industry information related to health administration and health sciences.
Employers were able to interview qualified job candidates and provide information about the company and its needs.
“When I talk about therapy, nursing therapy means physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy,” says Staci Thompson of MercyOne Home Care.
The students were excited to see all the potential opportunities in the healthcare field.
“I will be working in the emergency department and as long as everything is visible, anything is possible and I really like everything I am seeing,” said Ronald Lemons WIT LPN student.
Two other career fairs are also planned.
The next one will be held on November 6th and will feature agriculture, animal science, automotive technology, engineering, and truck driving.
