Wright State University joins the international community in celebrating World Mental Health Day on Thursday, October 10th.
This day promotes resources and strategies to maintain the well-being of the Wright State community and highlights the importance of mental health for everyone.
University President Dr. Amy Thompson said academic success is deeply tied to the well-being of students, faculty and staff.
“World Mental Health Day reminds us that mental health is not only essential, but a fundamental human right,” she said. “Our commitment is to ensure that all members of the university community have access to the support, resources, and environment they need to grow personally and academically.”
Barbara Marsh, DSW, Director of Counseling and Wellness Services, explained the significance of World Mental Health Day: A free environment where everyone can grow. ”
