There are regular events hosted by the PGA of America recruiting team, including college career fairs, sports-focused networking events, and local middle school, high school and college golf tournaments. PGA Championship
This year, the PGA Recruiting team provided exciting opportunities for local youth and their families at the annual Career Exploration Day event, held at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky.
Attendees explored various career opportunities within the golf industry and got a behind-the-scenes glimpse into how some of the industry’s best people prepare for major championships. Top industry leaders spoke about media and technology, golf club design and manufacturing, tournament coordination, merchandising and more.

KPMG Women’s PGA Championship
Our Career Exploration Day program continued at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship at Sahalie Country Club in Sammamish, Wash. The day also featured a panel discussion on “How to Use Your Brand and Personality to Succeed at Work.”
This provided a platform for women in golf to network, learn and discover their career paths whilst learning from talented female leaders in the industry.
PGA Works Collegiate Championship
Our partnership with the PGA WORKS team at Youth Day events and Beyond the Green at TPC Sawgrass highlighted our commitment to fostering growth and creating opportunities for future golf professionals in underrepresented communities.
Local young people spoke to our team and gained some great insights from various leaders in the golfing world.
High School Golf National Invitation Tournament
PGA Frisco hosted the 2024 High School Golf National Invitational Tournament, which attracted over 1,000 high school golfers from across the U.S. and abroad, and the recruiting team had the pleasure of participating in an exciting and fun registration process at the home of the PGA of America.
Along with the excitement of the tour, chipping contests and amazing giveaways, the recruitment team was also able to bottle that energy and teach them how to work in the golf industry in the future.
FORE Hire – Women who want to work in golf
This three-day workshop and networking event, held in Carlsbad, California, was targeted at 32 former and current female collegiate golfers interested in pursuing a career in the golf industry. The three days offered a unique opportunity for education, professional development, career advancement and a direct connection with the PGA of America.
United States Disability Golf Association Championship
Adaptive golf in the United States grows every year, and the USDGA Championship event at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida, was a testament to that incredible growth and inspiration. Our team had the opportunity to interact with over 150 adaptive athletes and discuss career opportunities beyond their playing careers. Providing a pathway for individuals from all walks of life is a driving force for the PGA of America.
MIT Sloan Business Conference – Boston, Massachusetts
Although the golf industry is only a small part of the overall business world, it is an industry that has impacted many aspects of the business world in some way. Over 2,000 people attended the MIT Sloan Business Conference in Boston, Massachusetts to hear about opportunities in the golf business and learn how they can incorporate golf into and impact their own industries.
