Davante Adams’ main trade destinations are reportedly the Jets and Saints, but could he play with Aaron Rodgers again?

Davante Adams’ relationship with the Las Vegas Raiders has not been going well, and the wide receiver is now reportedly seeking a trade. But where? A new report reveals that Adams’ top spot will be one with some familiar faces.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Adams would like to play for either the New York Jets or the New Orleans Saints because he is familiar with the latter’s quarterbacks.

Adams spent eight seasons catching passes from Rodgers when Rodgers was with the Green Bay Packers. They’re a dynamic duo on the field, and Rodgers continues to speak up about Adams every chance he gets.

As for the Saints, Adams knows Carr well. The two played together at Fresno State, and playing with Carr again was reportedly one of the reasons Adams agreed to a blockbuster trade from Green Bay to Las Vegas in 2022. . However, the two only lasted one season together until the Raiders released Carr after the 6-11 season and disbanded them.

The Saints have another member on their staff that could tip the scales in their team’s favor. That’s wide receivers coach Keith Williams. Schefter said Williams works with Adams as a personal wide receiver coach and even calls him a mentor.

Of the two teams, the Jets make the most sense for Adams and the Raiders. He’s perfect there and doesn’t have to worry about getting the ball because his good friend Rodgers is there to feed him. Additionally, Rodgers has a partner in New York who will help him reach his full potential, someone he can trust, someone who knows him well, and someone he feels comfortable throwing the ball to over and over again. It’s necessary. It’s T from Adams. The Jets also have significant salary cap room ($15.3 million), while the Saints don’t ($2.3 million).

Adams is not expected to play in Sunday’s game between the Raiders and Broncos due to a hamstring injury. The injury is reportedly real and could keep him out for up to two weeks, according to The Athletic’s Diana Russini, given his desire to get out of Las Vegas. It’s not that surprising that Adams won’t play.

The most likely outcome of this breakup appears to be a trade, but the timeline is currently unclear. Will we see him with the Jets anytime soon, or is he destined to be a part of another team?
