Brent Pry and Virginia Tech have officially released the unofficial depth chart for the Hokies’ matchup with Boston College.
The Boston College Eagles (4-2) will travel to Lane Stadium ahead of a Week 8 matchup between ACC schools. The last time the Hokies and Eagles met was late in the 2023 season, with the Hokies winning 48-22 on the road.
There have been a lot of changes to Virginia Tech’s depth chart throughout the year, but this week marks the first time there has been no movement on the offensive or defensive line depth chart. Kemari Copeland did not return to the depth chart. Gunner Givens will continue to serve as the backup at left guard. Also, Kelvin Gilliam continued in his role as a starter along with Aeneas Peebles.
However, there have been some notable changes. Following a “significant” injury to P.J. Prioleau, the kick returner role was given to another Hokie. Jalen Stroman will not return and could miss significant time this year. Additionally, Raith Gunnam remains off the depth chart, even though Brent Pry said “(Gangnam) is on his way back,” and although Gunnam practiced in full pads this week.
