Entering Week 8 of the 2024 college football season, it’s safe to say we’ve had both ups and downs from the Alabama Crimson Tide to this point this year.
After an undefeated start to the season at 4-0 headlined by a home win over the Georgia Bulldogs, the Crimson Tide was upset in a loss to Vanderbilt two weeks ago and then posted a hard-fought win over South Carolina last week. confirmed that.
As a result, Alabama enters Week 8 with a season record of 5-1, but there is a question mark over whether it will ultimately advance to the 12-team College Football Playoff later this season. Alabama won’t have to wait long to get a potential answer to that question, either. The Crimson Tide’s upcoming three-game series may show that.
Starting with Saturday’s game against Tennessee, Alabama will play three consecutive games against teams ranked in the top 25, including No. 11 Volante, No. 19 University of Missouri, and No. 8 LSU. Two of those games will be in Knoxville and Baton Rouge, with Alabama at home against Missouri.
Three tough games for the Crimson Tide, and the team probably can’t afford to lose more than one of these games, two at most, so this game could lead to the University of Alabama finally making it to the College Football Playoff. You may decide whether or not to do so.
