The latest Research Day will be held in Pokémon GO featuring the fifth generation Pokémon Yamamask and its Galarian regional variant. Along with Spotlight Hour, one of Pokémon GO’s regular events is Research Day, which features specific Pokémon. Field research tasks usually offer various rewards, such as Pokemon spawns or useful items. However, on Research Day, all rewards will be featured Pokémon spawns.
Yamask is a spooky Ghost-type Pokémon that is worth catching for trainers. Yamask of Galar is even more valuable, especially for those who participate in PvP battles. Its evolution, Runerigus, is a great option for both Great Leagues. That is, you should try to catch as powerful a version as possible during the research day.

As the name suggests, Yamask Research Day offers a number of field research tasks that can be used to capture both normal and Galarian forms. These Field Research Tasks can be obtained by spinning PokéStops or Gym Disks during the event, and each rotation will give you a new task to complete.
Related Pokémon GO: How to unlock maximum moves and level up
Unlocking and upgrading Max Moves in Pokémon GO is essential for some of the more difficult Max battles, and you can do this if you have enough Candy and Max Particles.
Individual tasks require players to complete challenges such as catching a certain number of Pokemon or turning a set number of Pokestops. Once you complete one, you will be given the opportunity to catch a Yamask or a Galar Yamask.
Both Yamask and Galaryamask can be found in shiny form after completing field research tasks.
Event-exclusive Field Research tasks are available to all trainers in Pokémon GO, but there are also paid timed research sets that can be purchased and completed. This gives players an additional opportunity to catch Yamask or Galar Yamask. Trainers will also have a chance to capture Dynamax Falink as a Max Raid Boss.

There are 5 Pokemon whose appearance rate will increase during the event period. This includes both the regular and Galarian versions of the popular ground-based Cubone from the 1st generation and Zigzagoon from the 3rd generation. Fellow third-generation Pokémon Ghost-type Duskal and fourth-generation Rock/Steel-type Shieldon are also found more often than usual.
All five Pokémon whose appearance numbers increased during the event have a chance to appear as different-colored versions, but the odds do not increase, making them very difficult to find.
What else happens during the event?
Cosmetic items that can be purchased at the shop
In addition to field research tasks and featured spawns, there are further incentives for playing Pokémon GO during the Yamask Research Day event. New cosmetics are available in the in-game shop, appearing for the first time or as featured items. This includes the first appearance of the Lucario mask. Yamask Research Day gives you the chance to catch two unique Pokémon and tons of shiny versions of them in Pokémon GO.
