The match, which had become a promoted group, looked like it was going to stay that way, with unbeaten Saints heading into half-time with a two-goal lead. But Fox fought back. Facundo Buonanotte pulled one back, but Ryan Fraser’s red card changed the game. Jamie Vardy, who was sent off for a professional foul, converted the spot-kick to level the score.
While Leicester had the upper hand, Saints were swaying and Southampton’s heart was broken in the 8th minute of stoppage time. Jordan Ayew converted from a set-piece routine, much to the excitement of the visiting squad.
It was Leicester’s latest goal in the Premier League and the first time in 64 tries that the Foxes had won a Premier League match, trailing by two points at half-time.

Ange Postecoglou’s reinvention of Dejan Kulusevski deserves to blossom. The Swede’s talent has not always been appreciated in north London, with some complaining about his inconsistency, but the 24-year-old is improving.
Playing a deeper central role, Kulusevski has quietly established himself as one of the Premier League’s best midfielders so far this season. He was the driving force behind Tottenham’s 4-1 come-from-behind victory over West Ham, scoring the equalizer with a sharp finish from the edge of the box, and was involved in the third goal, creating two chances and scoring a goal on the ground. He won 8 matches.
He has the ability to overcome challenges in ways that go beyond his own, making him an all-action presence in the Spurs side.
