MUNCIE, Ind. — For the second straight season, the Ball State University women’s basketball team will be in action for the second straight season when Mid-American Conference rival Toledo visits Worthen Arena on Monday, Jan. 20 at 11 a.m. ET. will host a regular season contest that will be broadcast on national television.

This will be the third consecutive season the Cardinals will play on the national stage. Ball State was selected to showcase its past successes on ESPN2, ESPNU and CBS Sports. Last year, Ball State won both nationally televised contests, defeating Toledo 65-61 in Muncie on CBS Sports and Kent State 75-71 on the road on ESPNU.

MAC women’s basketball continues to grow consistently, and so do the Cardinals. Ball State head coach Brady Saleh and his staff have assembled some challenging non-conference opponents this year.

Ball State had a very successful 2023-24 season, with 28 overall wins and 16 MAC wins, both program records. The Cardinals earned the No. 2 seed in the MAC Tournament, advanced to the semifinals for the third consecutive year, and received votes in the USA Today Top 25 Coaches Poll nine consecutive weeks of the year. Ball State University concluded the season by hosting the first round of the inaugural NCAA Women’s Basketball Invitational Tournament.

The Ball State women’s basketball team will officially kick off the 2024-25 season at home against IU Kokomo in an exhibition contest on Oct. 30 at 6:30 p.m. ET. First MAC Game 2 vs. Old Dominion/SBC Challenge Contest on November 4th. The game will also tip off at 6:30 pm ET at Worthen Arena.
