NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – In an added boost for basketball fans across Louisiana, WVUE-TV and Gray Media are pleased to announce that Cox Cable will carry the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network.
The partnership will bring New Orleans Pelicans games to Cox subscribers in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette and Mobile Pensacola, and all 75 non-national network games will be broadcast on GCSEN.

In the New Orleans area, the Pelicans’ season opener against the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday, October 23rd will temporarily be available on Cox Channel 129. However, starting Friday, Oct. 25, Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network will have Cox Channel 10 as its permanent home.

“We are dedicated to bringing Pelicans games to as many viewers as possible,” said Mikel Schaefer, vice president and general manager of WVUE-TV. “With the addition of Cox Cable, we will strengthen our sports lineup and ensure fans can enjoy every game without any barriers.”
The FOX 8 Live Tailgate pregame show begins Wednesday at 6 p.m., followed by the Pelicans pregame show at 6:30 p.m. and Tipov’s postgame coverage at 7 p.m.

The Pelicans’ season opener will be simulcast on WVUE FOX 8.
