The ultimate measure for an NFL quarterback is winning games. In that regard, Patrick Mahomes has had great success leading the Kansas City Chiefs to a perfect 6-0 record.
But from a fantasy standpoint, he’s one of the worst quarterbacks this season.
Through the first seven weeks, Mahomes ranks 24th in fantasy points per game (13.8). His best weekly performance so far was QB 12th in the Chiefs’ season opener.
So why is Mahomes still in the top 10 in Week 8? Maybe it’s because he’s playing against the Las Vegas Raiders. Once again, the Raiders are giving up the 8th fewest passing yards per game. Continue to start Mahomes at your own peril.
Fantasy football rankings are based on points per reception (PPR) scores, which are used in most seasonal and daily fantasy football formats. One point is awarded for every 10 yards rushing and receiving, and one point is awarded for every 20 yards passing. Six points are awarded for scoring a touchdown, four points for passing TD, and one point for receiving.
