After a slow start to the game, the Alabama Crimson Tide are starting to pick up steam against the Missouri Tigers at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Jalen Milroe hit Kendrick Law for 14 yards to start the second half. But, as is often the case, what Milroe started doing with his legs was what everyone was talking about afterwards.
Facing 2nd-and-8 from the Alabama 36-yard line, Milroe took off 32 yards to the Missouri 32-yard line, Alabama’s fifth play of 20 yards or more.
Milro was just getting started.
After a 23-yard run to tight end C.J. Dipley for a first-and-goal set at the Mizzou 9-yard line, Milroe took off again, went left, flipped the field and ran for a breathtaking 9-yard line. Scored a touchdown run.
Alabama had scored on each of its previous three possessions.
Graham Nicholson’s extra point gave Alabama a 20-0 lead with 12:33 left in the third quarter. It was Milroe’s fifth rush of the day, gaining 32 yards. He was 12-of-17 for 146 yards to that point.
