Roma legend Francesco Totti hints at return to football
Roma legend Francesco Totti has announced his intention to return to football.
In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Francesco Totti revealed that he is training to compete on the EA World Legends Padel Tour. The 48-year-old’s comments, which were initially thought to be a joke, have now emerged as a concrete possibility. “Will we meet first on the field at the World Legends Padel Tour Finals or on the field in Serie A?” What a question. Let’s say you have time to play the padel finals. The finals will be held at the end of November. It takes at least two months of training and that’s the time. ”
Totti reinforced his will to play by talking about the two offers he received from participating teams and reiterating the need to rely on his fitness before playing. He said: “There’s a team or two. Let’s see what my head is telling me, and above all, let’s see what my body is telling me. Let’s see if you react.”
Near the end of his interview, Totti made an explosive comment about his return to competitive football. He received an offer from an undisclosed Serie A team at the start of the new season and is under consideration, but he has made it clear that nothing will happen immediately as there are many things that need to be taken into consideration. He said: “I admit that they[the offer from Serie A]made me feel a little, a little crazy. It may be difficult, but you can never say never in life. Some players continue to play year after year.”
