PARSIPPANY, N.J., Sept. 25, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Lincoln Educational Services Corporation (NASDAQ: LINC), a national leader in specialized technical training for more than 75 years, announced the introduction of career training programs in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Heating Systems (HVAC) Technology and Electrical and Electronic Systems Technology (EEST) at its Moorestown, NJ campus.

Serving students and employers in the Trenton-Camden corridor region, the Moorestown campus has been a leading destination for healthcare and IT career training for over a decade. With more than 30,000 HVAC and electrical/electronics industry jobs currently projected across the state, Lincoln Tech Moorestown will help develop the region’s next generation of workforce in these important skilled trades. Students will be able to choose from six high-demand career areas when they enroll on campus:

A new training area has been constructed for these programs, with a grand opening scheduled for later this month.

Date: Friday, September 27th
Time: 10:00am – 2:00pm
Location: Lincoln Institute of Technology, Moorestown Campus
308 West Route 38
Moorestown, NJ 08057
Attendees: Scott Shaw, President and CEO, LincolnTech
Mark Bowen, vice president, Lincoln Tech Group
State Senator Troy Singleton
Moorestown Mayor Nicole Gillespie
Jerome Townsend, representing Congressman Andrew Kim
Local hiring managers and employment partners

“We consistently hear from recruiters in the region that there is a clear demand for not only electricians, but also highly skilled and trained HVAC and electronic systems technicians,” said Scott Shaw, president and CEO of Lincoln Tech. “Our Moorestown campus has been a trusted partner in producing skilled technicians for a variety of job titles since 2010, and we’re now proud to help fill the HVAC and electrical skills shortage as well.”

The certification HVAC training program takes approximately one year to complete. Students receive 1,200 hours of instruction, much of which is hands-on with Hampden trainers in simulated field situations. Topics covered include commercial refrigeration systems, basic refrigeration systems, electrical, heating and air conditioning systems. Students learn to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment, controls and power, and also receive advanced electrical and troubleshooting instruction before completing the program.

With a similar timeline and wide range of hours, the EEST training program focuses on electrical and electronic systems concepts related to the installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of commercial and residential systems. Students are introduced to career paths in the entertainment, security, surveillance and communications fields and are trained in the skills needed for an entry-level residential electrician job.

Upon completion of these programs, students are encouraged to apply for manufacturer-sponsored training with Hussmann Refrigeration and Johnson Controls International. These global employers are actively seeking new candidates to join their workforces and often cover training and relocation costs, allowing graduates to embark on a more direct route to a new career with little to no additional cost.

To register or receive additional information, please contact the campus at (856) 722-9333.

*Career growth projections are available at onetonline.org from 2022-2032 and are current as of September 24, 2024.
