Former Premier League midfielder Leon Haussmann believes Arsenal had a comfortable win against Paris Saint-Germain and said their performance could still “step up another gear”.
“Tactically, Arsenal found a way to damage PSG in the first half,” Osman told BBC Radio 5 Live’s Football Daily podcast. “Leandro Trossard went towards centre-half and went back at the last minute, so PSG’s midfield was not ready for them.
“They found themselves unopposed and took some great key positions.
“They are a team that believes in themselves on both ends of the field. If you want to win trophies you have to rely on your defense because you will be playing against very high quality opponents.
“I feel they will grow throughout the competition. It’s all about getting results at the moment, but I feel they can still step up another gear. It comes with belief and confidence.”
“Typically, the teams that win these tournaments are the ones that grow in those tournaments.”
