Taylor Kinney, Miranda Rae Mayo and David Eigenberg all had different career paths before starring in Chicago Fire.

Taylor Kinney

Taylor Kinney began his acting career playing Luke Gianni on the TV show Fashion House. The show premiered in 2006 and boasted a strong cast, including Bo Derek and Morgan Fairchild as Taylor’s mother and stepmother, respectively.

The rising star appeared in 35 episodes of the soap opera before moving on to roles in Trauma (2009-2010) and The Vampire Diaries (2010-2011) before finding fame in the world of One Chicago as Lt. Kelly Severide.

Miranda Ray Mayo

Pictured here in 2013, Miranda Rae Mayo had, at this point in her career, appeared briefly in episodes of Law & Order: LA (2011) and Supah Ninjas (2011), before landing a series series role as Patrice Shaybani in season six of The Game (2013).

Miranda continued to make a name for herself on television, appearing in Days of Our Lives (2013–2015), Pretty Little Liars (2015) and True Detective (2015), before making her big debut a year later as Stella Kidd.

Jesse Spencer

Jesse Spencer has been an actor for decades, first gaining international recognition playing Billy Kennedy in the Australian soap opera Neighbours and then starring opposite Brittany Murphy and Dakota Fanning in the hit comedy-drama Uptown Girls in 2004.

Jesse starred on House (2004-2012) for eight years, playing Brittany’s character’s boyfriend Neil Fox, before starring as Detective Matthew Casey on Chicago Fire.

David Eigenberg

David Eigenberg broke into television in the ’90s. The New York native’s earliest role was as Nick Delvecchio in 16 episodes of Soldier of Fortune, Inc.

Shortly after the above photo was taken, David landed one of his most beloved roles as Steve Brady on Sex and the City (1999-2004), after which he appeared in episodes of NCIS (2008) and Criminal Minds (2010) before playing Christopher Herman on Firehouse 51.

Dermot Mulroney

Newcomer Dermot Mulroney has had an impressive career. Pictured here in 1989, Dermot had just appeared in Sunset Strip (1988) and Young Guns (1988). A bright prospect, he went on to fame with hits like My Best Friend’s Wedding (1997), The Wedding Date (2005) and August: Osage County (2013).
