Los Angeles defeated Minnesota 110-103 on Tuesday at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.

Former Tennessee basketball player Dalton Knecht totaled five points, one rebound, two assists, and one steal in his NBA debut with the Lakers.

He played 16 minutes and made 2 of 4 field goal attempts and 1 of 3 3-point attempts.

Knecht was selected in the first round (17th overall) of the 2024 NBA Draft.

Knecht, a transfer from Northern Colorado, played for the Vols in the 2023-24 season under head coach Rick Barnes. During his one season with Tennessee, he averaged 21.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game.

He led the Vols to the SEC regular season championship and the second NCAA Tournament Elite Eight appearance in school history.

Knecht was the 2024 SEC Player of the Year and SEC Newcomer of the Year. He was the consensus All-American standout player and won the Julius Erving Award.
