The Atlanta Falcons continued their dominance of the NFC South and added another one to the win column with a 38-20 road win over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.
In addition to the victory itself, the team achieved several notable milestones. The Falcons had 423 yards of total offense, with 225 passing and 198 rushing. This was Atlanta’s highest rushing total of the season.
Running back Bijan Robinson got the header and carried the ball 15 times for 95 yards and two touchdowns. This is the first time in Robinson’s NFL career that he has rushed for a touchdown in a game, and the first time he has had multiple touchdowns since Week 12 of the 2023 season.
Only Tyler Allgaier had more yards on the ground, with 105 yards rushing and a touchdown on 18 carries. It was the third-year running back’s third career game in which he eclipsed the century mark. Allgaier also surpassed 2,000 career rushing yards in Week 6.
Atlanta’s three first-half touchdowns marked the first time this year that the team had more than three total touchdowns before halftime. In terms of points, the Falcons have totaled 74 points in their last two games, their highest total in two games since Weeks 14 and 15 of the 2016 season.
The Falcons will look to stay on the right side of the win column when they face the Seattle Seahawks on October 20th at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET.
