These new aerodynamic features include a new bonnet design, redesigned A-pillar deflectors, three-piece front wheel well closeouts, and hood-to-bumper seals that direct airflow around the underbody and tires. Includes new bumper air ducts for increased efficiency. According to DTNA, the new Cascadia also offers an optional Max Aero bumper, which increases efficiency without sacrificing ground clearance, durability or serviceability.
5th Generation Cascadia Powertrain Options
Like its predecessor, the fifth generation Freightliner Cascadia offers a full lineup of engine options to suit the different operational needs of fleets and their drivers.
Detroit DD13 and DD15 engines will be available at launch with ratings up to 505 horsepower and 1,850 lb-ft. of torque. The Cummins X15 and X15N are the first natural gas engines designed specifically for heavy-duty and highway truck applications and will be available in Cascadias built in 2026. These are available in 400 to 605 horsepower and 1,450 to 2,050 lb.-ft. of torque.

More advanced safety features with upgraded hardware
The fifth generation Freightliner Cascadia is the first vehicle to feature the newly expanded Detroit Assurance safety technology. These new updates include greater computing power along with an upgraded camera, four new short-range radar sensors, and an improved long-range radar sensor.
