1. Gandhi Studies Seminar Series 2024-2025. Global Law at Reading (GLAR) is Reading’s center of excellence in public international, EU and human rights law, with an international reputation for research excellence in these areas. The series was launched in 2015 and is named after Professor Sandy Gandhi, who taught at the Faculty of Law from 1978 to 2013 and is currently Professor Emeritus at the University of Reading. 2. International Law Theme Day: Treaty Law Seminar and Colloquium — Treaty Law and Teleology. *bilingual*. On the morning of November 21, 2024, a seminar on treaty law will be held for doctoral candidates and young researchers. The seminar will be followed in the afternoon by a public colloquium on the law of treaties at the Graduate Institute for International Development Studies in Geneva. This colloquium brings together professors, diplomats, treaty depositaries, senior international civil servants, and other international law experts with expertise in international treaty law. 3. ICLQ Assistant Editor Vacancy. The UK Institute of International and Comparative Law is recruiting for an Editorial Assistant for the International Journal of Comparative Law Quarterly (ICLQ). Based in London or Hybrid, this part-time position (0.5 FTE) offers a prorated salary of £30,000 – £35,000 per year. Responsibilities include managing journal submissions, coordinating the peer review process, editing papers, and organizing editorial board meetings. This role requires exemplary English proficiency, strong organizational skills, and familiarity with academic publishing standards and digital tools. Candidates must have a degree, editorial experience, and proficiency with MS Office and social media platforms.
