Federal judge largely rejects President Trump’s request for more evidence in election interference case
Judge Tanya Chutkan, who is presiding over the federal election interference case against Donald Trump, has largely rejected the former president’s requests for more evidence.
She also seems to agree that even though President Trump did not instruct people to attack the Capitol, he certainly bears responsibility for the events of January 6th.
Mr. Chutkan rejected attempts to obtain evidence of federal involvement or foreign influence or interference related to the violence.
The judge is expected to authorize the release of some materials related to the investigation into Mike Pence’s possession of classified documents and records “concerning security information communicated to defendants during meetings with General Milley and Acting Secretary Miller.” be.

Jack Smith says Trump is responsible for January 6th in latest allegation of election interference
Special Counsel Jack Smith responded to Donald Trump’s latest attempt to have his federal election interference case dismissed, saying he has no responsibility for the events that took place at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. It crushed the former president’s claim that he was not responsible.
Mr Smith’s latest filing states:
Contrary to the defendants’ claims that they bear no factual or legal responsibility for the “events of January 6,” the superseding indictment alleges that the defendants deliberately attempted to proceed by summoning their supporters to Washington, D.C. clearly alleges that he obstructed and attempted to obstruct. He then directed the vice president and members of Congress to march to the Capitol to pressure the vice president and members of Congress to reject the genuine certificates and rely instead on fraudulent electoral certificates. … (A) A defendant is criminally liable if he or she “intentionally causes an act to be committed that, if directly committed by him or another, would constitute a federal crime.”
Defendant also argues that absent an allegation of incitement…in defendant’s view, the superseding indictment “falls short of allegation” and therefore cannot be held “legally responsible for the events of January 6.” It is also claimed that That’s wrong. As noted above, the superseding indictment states that the defendants “repeated false claims of election fraud, gave false hopes that the vice president might change the outcome of the election, and that he may change the outcome of the election.” It alleges that he knowingly caused another person to violate Section 1512(c)(2) when he “created false expectations and directed the election to be rigged.” He had a mob go to the Capitol in front of him as a means of disrupting the certification…to force the vice president and members of Congress to accept fraudulent certificates from certain states in place of legitimate certificates from certain states. By applying pressure. These allegations directly link Defendants’ actions on January 6th to corruptly interfering with the certification process and attempting to establish the elements of a violation of Section 1512(c)(2), and is sufficient to resolve defendant’s motion to dismiss for cause.

As the race becomes more chaotic, Republicans believe Trump needs to stop focusing on his ‘obsessions’
Republicans are increasingly concerned that Donald Trump is spending more time venting his personal grievances and obsessions than talking about Kamala Harris’ policies.
Opinion polls suggest Trump has an advantage over Harris on many key policy areas, including the economy, but Marc Short, Mike Pence’s chief of staff when he was vice president, said Trump needs to remind voters of his position.
“(Trump) is able to get out of character and appeal to people who may not like him but like his policies,” he told the Washington Post.
