In a TikTok video posted on Thursday, September 19, the “Truth Hurts” singer, 36, shared how her hard work at the gym is paying off.

In the video, the four-time Grammy Award winner shows off her shapely figure as she continues to document her fitness journey for herself and her fans. Lizzo wears black underwear from her shapewear brand, Itty, in the “before” video, then cuts to her in a grey Itty bodysuit in the “after” video.

As background music for her transformation video, Lizzo used a line from Nicki Minaj’s TikTok that went viral: “You can’t argue about what I look like. I’m a bad girl. I’ve always been a bad girl.”

The videos come a month after Lizzo shared her gym fitness routine. In one Instagram video, she is seen working out her arms on what appears to be a lat pulldown machine. Another shot shows the model kneeling on the floor in a stylish purple one-piece, performing quick, powerful movements.

She captioned the video with words of encouragement for her fans, writing, “If you’re reading this… remember you can do anything if you put your mind to it! Stay focused and you can do it 💪🏾.”

Lizzo has previously spoken out about her fitness resolution for 2023, saying she decided to train to meet the demands of her high-energy live shows, and stressed she was “not trying to escape being overweight.”

“My job is very high performance,” she says, “I have to choreograph, sing, dance, rap, play the flute for 90 minutes every night, and I have to evoke emotion and excite the audience while wearing very tight, sometimes breath-restricting clothing.”
