OAK GROVE, Ky. (WBKO) – Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal crash in Christian County.

According to the release, KSP crews responded to a crash at the 86 mile marker on Interstate 24 just after 1 p.m. Sunday.

The investigation revealed that Alan Gonzalez, 28, of Oak Grove, was merging onto the interstate on a 2019 Suzuki sport bike when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a guardrail. The unoccupied motorcycle then crossed both eastbound lanes and collided with a semi-truck driven by DeAngelo Miller, 43, of El Dorado, Arkansas.

Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene by the Christian County Coroner. Miller was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing by Accident Reconstruction Detective Jacob Stevens.

KSP was assisted at the scene by Oak Grove Fire Department, Christian County Sheriff’s Office, Kentucky Department of Transportation, KSP Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, Jones Brothers Wrecker, Christian County Rescue Squad, and Christian County Coroner’s Office.
