With the National League Division Series decided at one game apiece on Sunday, the two AL wild-card teams will aim for road wins in Game 2 and return home for Game 3 with home-field advantage. That’s what I’m aiming for. First, the Detroit Tigers will send American League Cy Young Award favorite Tarik Skubal to the hills of Cleveland to face the Guardians. The 27-year-old pitched six innings and had six strikeouts against the Astros en route to a Wild Card Game 1 win in Houston in his first postseason start. The Guardians won Game 1, 7-0, on a three-run home run by Lane Thomas and 4 1/3 innings of no-hitter ball from the bullpen.
In the nightcap, the New York Yankees will look to take a 2-0 lead against the Kansas City Royals in the Bronx. Alex Verdugo was the Bombers’ Game 1 star, hitting the go-ahead RBI in the seventh inning and saving a run with a highlight-reel catch, helping the Yankees win 6-5. On Monday night, the Royals’ Cole Lagance gets the ball against the Yankees’ Carlos Rodon.
Here’s how to watch Monday’s ALDS action:

Tigers Game 2 lineup
Tarik Skubal started in Detroit. When you’re down 1-0 in the ALDS, it’s a great time to put your ace on the mound.
